Once again this season, The Daily Memphian is recognizing a high school football player of the week.

And we need you — our readers — to help.

Each Monday, we post several of the top performers from the previous week’s games. Readers can vote for their favorite through Thursday, Nov. 5, at 5 p.m., when we’ll announce the winner.

Here are the Week 11 candidates.

TSSAA first-round playoff pairings

Wright Arthur, ECS: Arthur had another big game as the Eagles wrapped up a second seed from Division 2-AA West with a 35-7 victory over rival St. George’s. The junior carried 16 times for 77 yards and scored four touchdowns, completed 3 of 3 passes for 84 yards and recorded four tackles, including one for lost yards.

Reginald Banks, Melrose: The talented junior has been dealing with the injury bug in 2026. But he flashed what he’s capable of in a 54-0 win over Hamilton. He needed just five carries to amass 200 yards while scoring on runs of 39, 56 and 56 as the Golden Wildcats secured a two-seed in Class 3A.

Akeem Hunt, MASE: Let’s hear it for the defense. MASE’s all-state linebacker recorded 16 tackles — six for lost yardage — and sacked the quarterback twice in a 20-0 win over Fairley, giving the Phoenix the Region 8-2A title and a No. 1 playoff seed.

Antonio Huntsman, Lausanne: The Lynx are averaging over 400 yards per game, thanks in large part to their sophomore. In the first half alone, Huntsman carried nine times for 153 yards and two touchdowns as the top seed from D2-AA West raced past Northpoint, 48-14.

Larry Johnson, Collierville: Johnson produced big play after big play as the Dragons won the Region 7-6A title and clinched a No. 1 seed with a 42-35 victory over arch-rival Houston. The senior gained 266 yards on only 13 attempts and scored on runs of 39, 80 and 48.

Tay Starks, Munford: Munford will be a No. 1 seed in Class 5A following its 42-21 win over Central. The Cougars got there by riding their two-time all-state junior, who rushed 30 times for 215 and two touchdowns (6, 3).
