The Lobbyist bringing patio in from the cold

By , Daily Memphian Published: September 11, 2026 5:22 PM CT

The Lobbyist is advancing to the next phase of a more than $200,000 renovation, seeking a Downtown Memphis Commission grant for improvements that will make its patio a year-round feature.

The upscale restaurant is on the ground floor of the Hotel Chisca at 272 S. Main St., a block south of the Orpheum Theatre.

The first phase, completed a few months ago, included installing steel beams and adding a roof over the patio area.
